This paper attempts to discuss the relation between the paintings of chagall and the theology of eliade in order to participate a dialogue between an artist and a theologian and to search for divine meaning in the secularized world , thus rediscovering the religious significance in chagall as well as in the whole modem western art 摘要本文试图通过对夏加尔绘画和伊里亚德神学之间关系的探讨，参与在20世纪一位艺术家和一位宗教史学家之间曾经展开的对话，到一个世俗化的世界中去寻找神圣的意义，并进而发现夏加尔艺术和整个现代西方艺术中存在的宗教意味。
