According to " the toponym record of gaoyou county " , under the name of " tangdun " , it is recorded that li yuan , the emperor of wenzhu in the tang dynasty took refuge in this place 位于虬镇西北部，经查高邮县地名录，在自然村庄“唐墩”地名下记有。据传唐高祖李渊在此避难，故名。
