The temple was originally established in 1611 in former kandakitatera - machi ( present chiyoda city ) and was moved to yanaka shimizuzaka area in 1648 and then to the current location in 1680 庆长16年( 1611 )神田北寺町(现千代田区)创建后，庆安元年( 1648 )搬迁到谷中清水坂，后来又于延宝8年( 1680 )搬迁到了现在的地点。
