The erection of the marquisate of Baudricourt in 1719 had the effect of changing the name of the village which was called Saint-Menge until 1766. L’érection du marquisat de Baudricourt en 1719 eut pour effet le changement de nom du village qui s’appellera Saint-Menge jusqu’en 1766.
