Proto-Esperanto (Esperanto: Pra-Esperanto) is the modern term for any of the stages in the evolution of L. L. Zamenhof's language project, prior to the publication of Unua Libro in 1887. Pré-espéranto (ou Pra-esperanto en espéranto) est le terme actuel définissant toutes les étapes du développement de la langue construite par Ludwik Lejzer Zamenhof antérieures à la publication de Langue Internationale en 1887.
