Following a visit to Fleury Abbey near Saint-Benoît-sur-Loire he founded in Lorraine the male monastery of Saint-Epvre and the female monastery of Bouxières-aux-Dames. À la suite d'une visite à l'abbaye de Fleury à Saint-Benoît-sur-Loire il fonda en Lorraine le monastère masculin de Saint-Epvre et l'abbaye de benedictines de Bouxières-aux-Dames en 936.
