The first two lines are a reference to Isaiah 11:6, which in the KJV reads, "The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them." Ces dernières dépeignent les vers du livre d'Isaïe au chapitre 11 : « le loup habitera avec l'agneau, et le léopard s'allongera avec l'enfant, le veau et le jeune lion (...) et un petit enfant les mènera ».
